Fanhams Hall Weddings
Nestled in history, Fanhams Hall, a country house dating back to the 1400s, boasts an enchanting blend of formal gardens and an expansive informal Japanese garden. The charming Japanese Teahouse and picturesque bridges adorning the lake add a touch of romance to the estate.
THE GARDENS
The Jacobean-style mansion graces a terrace overlooking impeccably manicured grounds. Descending steps lead to a central fountain, where the gentle sound of running water mingles with the fragrance of blooming flowers, creating a truly magical ambiance. Here, amid the beauty of nature, one is transported to a world brimming with love and romance.
THE JACOBEAN MANSION
The journey into the Fanhams Hall experience commences with a winding tree-lined driveway, unveiling 27 acres of captivating grounds and the historic Jacobean Mansion. Passing through the two-story gatehouse into the courtyard, guests are greeted by the grand entrance of this Grade II listed building, now a hotel and events venue under the Exclusive Group. The oak-panelled Long Gallery, with its grandeur and intimacy, sets the stage for a romantic and timeless wedding.
THE GREAT HALL
The Great Hall, adorned with a magnificent Jacobean fireplace, provides a stunning backdrop for the top table. The Minstrels Gallery above is ideal for capturing moments of the entire bridal party during the wedding breakfast. Seating 120 for the wedding breakfast and accommodating 170 for the evening reception, the Jacobean Great Hall is licensed for ceremonies, making it a versatile and perfect space for every facet of your wedding.
Exiting the Great Hall through oak and leaded glass doors, a beautifully carved oak staircase awaits—a regal sight that adds a touch of majesty as the couple glides up or down. The preparation rooms for both the bride and groom, along with the suites, offer a photographer’s dream, featuring oak-paneled walls and expansive stained glass windows.
CEREMONIES
Fanhams Hall offers a range of captivating ceremony venues, from the licensed Grade II Japanese Teahouse erected in 1900 to the classic Long Gallery. The Gazebo on the lawn and the Lakeside Pavilion also provide options for romantic outdoor ceremonies. With its many choices and the stunning backdrop of a Jacobean Mansion amidst 27 acres of grounds, Fanhams Hall stands as the perfect venue for capturing timeless moments in wedding photography.
