Ware Priory Wedding Photography

Being a Ware Priory Wedding Photographer, I was absolutely delighted that Catherine & Michael invited me to shoot their wedding.  This beautiful, historic Grade I listed venue lies in the centre of Ware & only 45 minutes from Central London.  Set amongst beautiful gardens with a tree lined river running along the bottom of the Priory, it makes for the most perfect venue

Shooting at Ware Priory you are spoilt for choice with the many fabulous areas in which to take photos that create life lasting memories.  Catherine looked beautiful in her full length wedding dress & Michael looked dapper in his sharp suit.  The bridesmaid and Best Lady wore gorgeous blue dresses which looked absolutely stunning.  The groomsmen wore suits that tied in beautifully with Michaels and the blue colour theme.

With their ceremony in the Priory Hall and their reception in the lovely bright conservatory, Ware Priory was an absolutely perfect venue for their special day.  Ware Priory is said to date back to medieval times and is full of historical beauty. I personally love the stone remains which create a lovely archway in which to take shots of the happy couple.  Every aspect of the house & garden create the most perfect setting for your wedding photos. Combining traditional with documentary photography,  creates a well rounded selection of photos that will ensure the memories of your special day will be remembered in your hearts forever.

No additional travel costs for weddings at this beautiful venue.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Catherine & Michael on their wedding day at Ware Priory.  I was so honoured to capture their big day for them & look forward to shooting at Ware Priory  again soon.

The original friary was founded in 1338.  In the 17th century it was known as ‘Greyfriars’ and no-one knows why it was later changed to Ware Priory. It was said that some thirteen monks in the thirteenth century maintained the Priory.  The priory was dissolved in 1414 and granted to the Carthusians of Sheen. The old rectory or manor house was built on the site early in the 17th century and was altered in the 18th and 19th centuries.

THE GARDENS

The Priory is situated in the middle of some gorgeous gardens with a river running along the bottom.  You are transported to a different world full of love, romance and nature.

Your amazing Ware Priory experience begins as you enter the gates situated along Ware High Street.  The historic building and gorgeous flowebeds greet you upon your arrival, and are truly magical.  Stepping through the most amazing old doorway, you are met with the wonderful entrance to the historic Ware Priory.  The most perfect place for a romantic & timeless wedding. The Priory Hall is an amazing room for a wedding ceremony.  The stained glass windows give a real church feel.

FLETCHERS LEA – THE RIVERSIDE SUITE

Fletchers Lea also known as The Riverside Suite is a bigger room for larger wedding parties.  This is a blank canvas that can be decorated to your colour and taste.  It has a terrace that overlooks the River Lea, allowing some wonderful wedding shots to be taken.

Ware Priory is a very popular Hertfordshire wedding venue, which combines historic architecture with contemporary styling.  The diversity of the two rooms coupled with the beautiful gardens and the running river create a perfect setting for any couple getting married.

Photography at Ware Priory is a pure joy with so many beautiful spots to capture those wonderful memories.

I can’t believe I get to take photos at this wonderful venue.

Being a Hertfordshire lass myself, I find shooting at Ware Priory a real treat.
